Synopsis
Women of Brazil mixes fiction and documentary to tell the stories of five Brazilian writers - Laura, Esmeralda, Telma, Ana and Martileide - all of whom live in different parts of the country (Rio, São Paulo, Bahia, Maceió and Curitiba). There's turning-points, discoveries, sadness, happiness, reconsiderations and restarts. They represent the ordinary women of the country, moved by a never-ending, restless search for their desires and dreams.

Director
Malu De Martino has directed several cultural, institutional and documentary videos (Sexualities, MP BR Meetings, Baía, Flávio de Carvalho - A Romantic Revolutionary). In 2001 she directed the documentary Ismael & Adalgisa, which has received awards for Best Film by the critics and popular jury at the Cuiabá Film Festival and Best Photography at the Recife Film Festival, among others.
