International personas with differing degrees of visual impairment - from mild nearsightedness to total blindness - discuss the physiology of the eye, the implications of wearing glasses on their personalities, their perceptions on self and the world. Blind Franco-Slovenian photographer Evgen Bavcar, writer and Nobel laureate José Saramago, filmmakers Wim Wenders and Agnès Varda, neurologist Oliver Sachs, musician Hermeto Pascoal among others, offer deeply personal and surprising revelations about various aspects of vision and the meaning of seeing or not seeing in a world saturated by images. This film is a voyage that alternates poetic images and testimonials on different forms of seeing and perceiving the world.
