During the Festival, an exhibition will take place at the Cinéma du Parc: you will discover the photographic work of Rosa Berardo.
Filmmaker, journalist and photographer, Rosa Berardo traveled around the globe through several countries, from Asia to Antarctica. Her name is listed as one of the Brazilian female artists who has most distinguished herself in the arts in recent years. In July, 2007 she was honored with the highest cultural field decoration in the State of Goiás: the Anhanguera Badge, given by the Governor's own hands, Alcides Rodrigues.
For six years she photographed the Indians from Xingu National Park and has one of the largest collections capturing the ethnic groups that live in this park. Her photos are published in important national and international magazines, such as Geo, Photo & Camera and Unesco Journal. Among the most prestigious foreign places, she exhibited her series of photos at Mankind's Museum (Paris), Toronto Photography Festival in 2006 (Canada) and during the International Festival of Environmental Film of Serra da Estrela, in Portugal.
Ph.D. in cinema, Rosa Berardo has come a long way in the audio-visual area, attending several cinema festivals in Brazil and abroad as manager and also as jury. One of her documentaries will be presented during the festival.
