This film is dedicated to Nana Caymmi, one of Brazil's most
sophisticated singers and her leading role in the Brazilian music world
in the last 50 years. Nana Caymmi is the guardian of an unrivaled
musical heritage. She is the daughter of iconic composer Dorival Caymmi,
former lover of Gilberto Gil, muse of Milton Nascimento, and childhood
friend of Nelson Freire and seen by her peers as Brazil's greatest
singer and cited by journalist Roberto Moura as "The singer's singer".

Director’s Biography:
Georges Gachot is a director and producer Franco-Swiss specializes
in films about classical music. At 18, he left Paris to study at the
Polytechnic School of Zurich.
His first steps were in the film world in 1985 when he became a movie
actor for television advertising and film. He worked for Naxos, making
video clips in order to allow viewing of the works of the great musical
repertoire.
In 1993, Georges Gachot decides to work as self-employed in other
categories of films about classical music. He develops his work since
then making documentaries and portraits of musicians and composers. In
1996 he started working as a producer.
In 2002, Georges Gachot received the prestigious "Italy Award" for her
portrayal of Argentine pianist Martha Argerich. Also interested in
Cambodia, he made four documentaries about the cellist and humanitarian
work of the Swiss pediatrician Beat Richner.
In the film Music is Perfume Maria Bethania (2005), he
leaves for the first time classical music. His interest in Brazilian
music continues with the film Rio Sonata (2010).
